The Northern Ireland Memorial Fund is an independent charitable fund that seeks to promote peace and reconciliation by ensuring that those individuals and families that have suffered as a result of the 'Troubles' in Northern Ireland are remembered, by providing them with help and support in a practical and meaningful way.

As of the 8th May 2012 the Northern Ireland Memorial Fund will be sending out application forms to all its applicants from previous applications. This means that if you have been a NIMF applicant from November 2010 you will automatically receive an application form. Accompanying the form is a letter explaining recent changes within the Fund. NIMF has received funding from OFMDFM for the financial year 2012/13. As a result some of the eligibility criteria has changed. Please read through this letter to see if you will be affected by these changes, please note this letter has been sent to all applicants who will be affected.

The Northern Ireland Memorial Fund has now closed to applications due to funding issues, we will be in contact with our applicants if the situation changes.
The Northern Ireland Memorial Fund is to re-open for application forms for the month of October 2011, but this only applies to those who haven't yet applied to the fund. Please contact the office for further enquiries and to request an application form.
As of 18th April 2011 the Northern Ireland Memorial Fund has been instructed to stop the acceptance of application forms.
The Northern Ireland Memorial Fund currently has had no Government confirmation of Funding for the financial year 2011/12. The Fund will endeavour to keep all applicants up to date on this situation.
